MS-20

Two filters that scream on purpose.

The MS-20 is compact and patchable, with a resonant high-pass filter and a resonant low-pass filter in series. Both can self-oscillate, and at high resonance the sound turns into a snarl.

Its external signal processor lets you feed a guitar or a voice through the synth's filters and envelopes. It was cheap, loud and a little unruly.
